*Drumroll*
BECAUSE ITS FUN - End of story, thank you for coming to my TedTalk...
JK, but it is terribly good fun. Aside from that, lifting has L I T E R A L L Y changed my life!
When I first started my fitness journey I was rock bottom with how I felt about myself, I was an anxious mess, a people pleaser, scared of any new situation kinda gal...
Now you can't stop me or shut me up
So this list is personal to why I think lifting should be your new fave hobby but there's a good mix of *actual science backed proper job* reasons, as well as *wild women certified good stuff* reasons 🤌
#1 To stay young forever
A triumphant mix of actual science + my own logic - by piling on as much healthy muscle mass as I can, I'll enter old age ready for anything (mainly some serious games of dominoes 🤌)
#2 To balance my hormones
Whoever told you raging PMS was the norm - go kick them in the shins!
It's actually a symptom of hormones that aren't happy...PMS is normal, crazy PMS is not 🚫 as well as my food, regular exercise helps to keep my hormones in their happy place 🙌
#3 To feel better
This sort of ties in with the hormones, moving makes me happy! When you exercise your body releases some feel good endorphins - that post-workout glow is real ☀️
#4 To manage stress
We all need S P A C E + working out can provide that! Pop them headphones on, get in the zone + out of your worries!
#5 Because I love it
I know I already said it BUT it's true - once you're hooked you can't imagine life without it! Once you find the way *you* like to train it can become an integral part of your week 🙏
So whether you want to join me in making it to 120 or you just need a new hobby, grab a barbell + let's get lifting 🤌
