I'M SAD THAT THE SUN'S GONE...anyone else?
No one needs an excuse to eat like a raccoon, the opportunity just constantly presents itself! While a week of eating bad won't make too much of a difference to your body, during winter, we'll feel the effects more.
I'm not talking so much about your body but your hormones. Yes, those things I'm always harping on about.
When that beautiful sun disappears + those clocks go back, our hormones take a big hit.
So rather than think of eating "healthy" think of eating "hormone healthy" and here's my tips!

#1 Eat three complete meals
As it gets colder, we tend to curl up, get warm + sit still all day! We'd rather sink a hot drink than get up + grab a proper meal. Staving off hunger all day because it's cold or you don't want to go out to grab lunch is no bueno for those hormones + sugar levels!
#2 Eat the rainbow!
With the abscence of natural daylight we need to boost our sources of food derived vitamins! We've got: red, orange/yellow, white/brown, green + blue/purple. Make an effort to incorporate as many of these colours into your day + feel the benefits!
#3 Cook from scratch
If you're like me, these dark days make me L A Z Y. Grabbing ready-made meals is too easy but these (as you know) are full of stuff that your body struggles to deal with. If we lessen the load on our bodies...your body will have more time to make you feel g o o d! So use that extra time inside during the rain to dust off the apron + create some delishh dishes.
So ready, steady...COOK!
Let this Winter be a feel good one! Don't jump on that slippery, mince pie laden slide to Christmas that leaves you lethargic until mid March!
